PTE Academic is designed to test your English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The test takes approximately three hours to complete. This includes an un-timed introduction to the test and one optional scheduled break of up to 10 minutes.

PTE results can be received the fastest – within a couple of days to up to a week. The writing test in PTE is much easier since you are only required to write one long-form response. PTE can be finished within a single day and is, therefore, the shortest of the three tests in terms of time required. There is no physical examiner present through most of the test which is completely automated.
